Two women will face the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on charges of possessing liquor in a prescribed area in remote community.

Tennant Creek Police members were conducting random breath testing on the Sandover Highway when they breath tested a woman.

The woman supplied a negative result, however when police searched the vehicle searched they found a large quantity of liquor hidden in the back.

A 48-year-old woman and 28-year-old woman will be summons to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court for the offences of supplying liquor and possessing liquor in a prescribed area.
