Four people have been arrested following three break-ins at an Alice Springs Club in
the past week.
Police have arrested two males aged 15 and 17 over break-ins at the Gillen Club on Saturday and Sunday morning. Police allege the pair smashed a glass door to enter the premises and stole approximately $566 worth of alcohol.
The 17-year-old will be referred to Youth Diversion while the 15-year-old was remanded in custody to appear in the Youth Justice Court today charged with unlawfully entering a building at night with intent to commit a crime, stealing and unlawfully damaging property.
Meanwhile two men aged 26 and 25 were arrested following a break-in at the club on Thursday morning in which more than $1000 worth of alcohol was stolen.
The 26-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on March 12, while the 25-year-old has been bailed to appear in court on March 27. Both have been charged with property damage, unlawfully entering a building at night with intent to commit a crime, stealing and bringing liquor into a restricted area.
