A 51-year-old man will appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court today in relation to a number of offences that occurred last week.
On Friday 25 September members of the Special Operations Section apprehended a white Toyota Landcruiser on Totem Road, Coconut Grove. A search of the vehicle located a loaded 30/30 Winchester Lever Action Rifle and a quantity of ammunition along with 11 undersize Barramundi in an esky and an Ice smoking pipe.
Members later executed a search warrant at the man's residence in Fitzer Drive, Ludmilla and a glass jar containing Pseudoepherdrine was located.
The man was arrested and conveyed to the Darwin Watch House where he was later charged with:
Drive unregistered/uninsured
Drive unlicensed
Carry loaded firearm
Unsecured firearm/ammunition
Take undersize Barramundi (x11)
Possess smoking implement
Produce Schedule 2 substance
Supply precursors
Possess precursors
Unsafe storage of ammunition
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court today.
