Arrest - attempted stealing with violence Darwin City

Proactive policing has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man in Darwin City over night.

The two male victims aged 23 & 29-years-old we walking on Briggs Street towards Smith Street at 9:40 lat night when the incident happened.

The offender is alleged to have approached the men from the darkness before threatening them with a sledge hammer and demanding an item of clothing.

Near by police members from the Commanders Tactical Team and the Youth Crime Unit witnessed the incident and pursued the offender on foot before apprehending him on McLachlan Street.

The offender was charged in relation to the following offences and has been remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrate's Court on...
