Casuarina Detectives are calling for witnesses in relation to the armed robbery of a 14-year-old male in Millner yesterday.

Just after 7:00am yesterday the victim was waiting at the Brooking Street and McMillans Service Road bus stop in Millner. An unknown male approached him at the bus stop and produced a knife before demanding he hand over his money.

The victim handed over his money, which had been given to him recently as a reward after he returned lost property to an owner.

The offender is described as

A male of Aboriginal appearance
Approximately 30-years-old
184cms tall
Skinny build
Black collar length hair
Black beard and moustache with some grey hairs
Noticeable scars on one arm
Smelling of liquor
He was wearing a black Bob Marley t-shirt
Dirty faded blue jeans
No shoes

The offender was last seen leaving the area as a passenger of a dirty white troop carrier with the first two digits of the registration being 93, heading towards Bagot Road.

Senior Constable Wayne Newell said "this was a disturbing premeditated assault on a child."
