Darwin Investigation members have arrested a 25-year-old in relation to an alleged sexual assault.

It is alleged that the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning when the 25-year-old entered the residence in Alawa at which a 15-year-old female was residing.

He was arrested a short time later and charged with sexual intercourse with a child under 16 years and was bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court 5 March.
