Aggravated assault – Karama - 4403223

Police

Police are investigating the aggravated assault of a 23-year-old pregnant woman that occurred in Karama last night.

It is alleged that the victim, who is heavily pregnant, attended the Caltex Service Station at around 10:30 pm and then proceeded to walk to a residence near by.

She was then approached by an unknown male on Wearing Crescent, who is believed to have been following her, and assaulted her, before she was able to flee the scene and contact police at approximately 10:50 pm.

Members attended and conducted searches and door knocks of the area however were unable to locate the offender.

The male offender is described to be of aboriginal appearance and at the time of the offence, was wearing knee length shorts with a t-shirt tucked into them, no shirt and no shoes and was last seen on Wearing Crescent in Karama.
