2025 Key Dates
By making an application for a firefighter position, you will be required to commit to the dates detailed below as you move through each stage of the process.
Stage 1: Written application
- Applications for recruit Squad 53 will open on 6 June 2025 and will close 27 July 2025
- Apply through NTG jobs
Stage 2: Beep Test
- Date: 9 June 2025

Stage 3: Cognitive and Psychometric Assessment
- Open for a 4 day period 28/8/2025 - 31/8/2025
Stage 4: Physical Aptitude Test (PAT)
- Dates: Darwin 4/10/2025 & Alice Springs 11/10/2025

Stage 5: Formal interviews
- Dates: Commencing on the 15/10/2025
