Arrests – Burglary – Katherine

Northern Territory Police have arrested 2 youths after a burglary in Katherine this morning.

Around 6am, police received reports that 2 males had unlawfully entered a business on Katherine Terrace, Katherine.

The offenders have allegedly caused damage before being arrested a short time later by police while still inside the building.

Both youths, aged 12 and 14, remain in custody and are expected to be charged later today.

Senior Sergeant Warren Scott said “Police arrived on scene within 2 minutes of the initial call, resulting in the fast apprehension of the alleged offenders. I commend the work of our hardworking frontline in Katherine who continue to tirelessly work to protect their community.”
