Arrest – Domestic violence – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to a domestic violence incident in Alice Springs yesterday.

At 2.30pm, police responded to reports of a man allegedly unlawfully entering the residence of a woman in Stuart.

The man is allegedly known to the woman.

The 30-year-old man allegedly threatened the victim, damaged internal and external property, and fled the scene after stealing several items.

Police attended the residence and declared a crime scene. The victim was uninjured.

The man later surrendered himself at the Alice Springs Police Station and was arrested. He remains in custody and will appear in court today.
