The Northern Territory’s road toll has risen to 22 after a 62-year-old male was struck by a four wheel drive vehicle at Wagait Beach.

Investigations into the incident are still continuing. Detectives have determined that alcohol was not a factor in the incident. The incident occurred around 9:30pm last night, outside a residence at Wagait Beach

The vehicle was being driven by a woman known to the man. Unfortunately his injuries were too severe and he passed away shortly after at the Belyuen Clinic.

The road toll this time last year was 12.
