Unlawful Entry - Northlakes

Police

Police are investigating the unlawful entry of a business inside the Northlakes shopping centre in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the alleged offenders have gained access through the roof of the centre.

“The two offenders have forced open roof sheeting, climbed through the roof and used a rope to gain entry into the shop.  They have removed a small safe and exited through the roller door before leaving the shopping centre through the main doors.”

Detective Senior Sergeant Stringer said Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at around 2am who may have been carrying a length of rope or wearing gloves.

“We believe the offenders have left in the direction of the golf course and would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have seen two people of Aboriginal appearance carrying a small suitcase or similar at the time.  We would also ask for people to be on the look out for a small safe that may have been discarded or concealed in the area.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
