Unlawful Entry Charges - Alice Springs

Police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old male who unlawfully entered the Red Tomato Restaurant on January 6.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said it appears the alleged offender has unlawfully entered the venue and stolen around $500 worth of alcohol at around 12:15am on Sunday.

“He has then allegedly returned to the Red Tomato Restaurant at around 4:00am and stolen a further $200 worth of alcohol.

“Police were able to utilise forensic evidence gathered at the scene to make the arrest.” Detective Senior Sergeant Malley said.

He has been charged with aggravated unlawful entry (x2), entering a business premises and causing damage, stealing (x2) and unlawful damage to property.

He has been bailed to appear in the Youth Justice Court on January 11.
