Assault and Stealing - Coolalinga

Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad are investigating an alleged assault and stealing incident from the United Petrol Station at Coolalinga last night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Kennon said that around 9:50pm a 25-year-old male console operator at the service station went to observe a man filling up on fuel at a bowser.

“Police allege the offender has then chased the consol operator and assaulted him before driving off without paying for the fuel.

“The 25-year-old male was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital to receive treatment for several lacerations to his face.

“The offender is described as a man of Caucasian appearance, approximately 180cm tall, short hair and of muscular build.

“He was driving a red or maroon coloured 80 series Toyota Land Cruiser diesel wagon.”

Police urge anyone who may recognise this man or his vehicle, or who may have any information relating to the incident, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
