Darwin Investigation Unit members are currently investigating a fire that occurred at Aussie Motors in Stuart Park early this morning.

Members were alerted to a structure fire at approximately 5:00 am on Wedd Street and upon arrival found the building to be well alight.

Fire and Rescue Service personnel tended to the blaze, as police blocked off part of the Stuart Highway due to poor visibility.

The fire was extinguished a short time later.

At this stage police are treating it as suspicious and are urging anyone that may have information in relation to this incident, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
