Human remains identified - Yulara

Police

Human remains found at the base of Uluru last week have been identified.

Forensic examination of the remains have confirmed they are those of 31-year-old Craig Dallas Moor from Nathalia, Victoria.

Mr Moor was reported as a missing person in November last year. His car was found abandoned in the car park of the Cultural Centre and an extensive air and ground search was launched.

On Monday February 9 this year Park Rangers discovered human remains in scrub about 500 metres from the base of the Uluru climb. Subsequent forensic examination of the remains have confirmed they were those of Mr Moor. No cause of death has been determined, however a file is being prepared for the Coroner.
