Palmerston and Berrimah Fire Fighters Extinguish Unit blaze

At about 12.30 today Palmerston and Berrimah Fire Fighters extinguished a unit fire at Driver Avenue, Driver.  The unit was well alight when Fire Fighters arrived.  3 fire appliances were deployed with 12 Fire Firefighters brought the fire under control.

NT Police Serious Crime Detectives have established a crime scene are joined by NT Fire and Rescue Service, Fire Investigators to determine the cause of this fire.

No injuries were reported.  The building was extensively damaged, with fire damage to the lounge and heat and smoke damage to the rest of the unit.  The fire did not spread to adjacent buildings.
