Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an alleged aggravated assault which occurred in Darwin City in the early hours of Saturday 24 August, 2019.

At about 3:00am a 31-year-old man and his partner were arguing behind Monsoons in Shadforth Lane when two unknown males intervened and assaulted the man who was rendered unconscious. The two males fled the area.

A 20-year-old male and a 22-year-old male were arrested a short time later. Both have been charged with recklessly endanger life and serious harm in relation to the assault.

The victim was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with serious head injuries.
