Aggravated Robbery – Tennant Creek

Tennant Creek Investigations Unit are calling for information in relation to an alleged aggravated robbery which occurred on Monday 9 September 2019.

A 71-year-old man was returning to his residence on Ambrose Street around 8:30pm when he disturbed two men in the process of stealing alcohol from his residence. One of the offenders exited the residence and the victim attempted to stop the second offender from fleeing. The second offender punched the victim’s face, causing minor lacerations, and left the scene.

One offender is described as a tall, young, Indigenous male of solid build. He was wearing a short-sleeved baggy grey t-shirt.  The second offender is described as a tall, dark-skinned Indigenous male of athletic/slim build. He had unkempt medium-length hair and appeared to be between 15 and 20 years of age.

Police have identified a suspect in relation to this matter however no charges have been laid at this time.
