The Territory road toll now stands at 25 following a fatal motorcycle crash in Alice Springs early this morning.

Territory Duty Superintendent Helen Braam said it appears a man in his 30’s was traveling along South Terrace at around 3am when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the side of a minibus.

“The South Terrace and Kempt Street intersection was closed to traffic this morning and has since been reopened.

“Investigations into the exact circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.”

A file will now be prepared for the Coroner.

The road toll for the same time last year stood at 23.
