White Ribbon Day celebrates the culmination of the annual campaign and global recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

PALMERSTON – TUESDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2016

When:                  Media Launch 2pm Tuesday 22 November

Where:                 Goyder Square

A large White Ribbon will be erected in Goyder Square. You’re encouraged to visit, take the oath and a picture of yourself with the White Ribbon and upload it. The Ribbon will be in the square for the whole week to acknowledge White Ribbon Day. Show your support to end violence against women

 

DARWIN – FRIDAY 25 NOVEMBER 2016

 

EVENT DETAILS

When:                  Congregate at 11:15am for an 11:30am March

Where:                 The March will commence at The Esplanade at the end of Knuckey Street, Darwin

The March will conclude at Raintree Park where some formalities will take place and a community BBQ will be held.

 

 

 

KATHERINE – FRIDAY 25 NOVEMBER 2016

When:                 March Commences at 10am

Where:                The March will depart from the carpark adjacent to the BP service station, along Katherine Terrace and arrive at Ryan Park

Post March some formalities will take place and a community BBQ will be held.

 

 

ALICE SPRINGS – FRIDAY 25 NOVEMBER 2016

 

When:

11:45am to 12:30pm

Meet at Anzac Oval at 11.45 for a 12pm departure.
Following the March there will be White Ribbon Ambassador speakers, music and a sausage sizzle.

 

TENNANT CREEK – FRIDAY 25 NOVEMBER 2016

 

EVENT DETAILS

When:                  March commences at 10am

Where:                 Assemble at the front of Northern Land Council Office (across from Top of Town) and march to Peko Park

At the completion of the march there will be a presentation, Clothesline Project Activity and community BBQ held.
