Neighbourhood Watch is a successful community-based crime prevention program aimed at the protection of property and personal safety. In particular, the program is aimed at reducing burglaries.
The ultimate success of Neighbourhood Watch depends on a partnership approach between residents and the police.
As a member of Neighbourhood Watch, you join with neighbours and friends in the fight against crime. A Neighbourhood Watch member becomes the 'eyes and ears' of the police.
Neighbourhood Watch has a solid membership in all suburban and rural areas of Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine/Tindal and Alice Springs and Tennant Creek. A police officer patrolling your neighbourhood may not recognise a stranger in your area, but you and your neighbours will.
And remember, membership of Neighbourhood Watch is absolutely free.
