Meet the CAT

The Northern Territory Child Abuse Taskforce (CAT) is a dedicated team of specialist investigators from the Northern Territory Police, the Office of Children and Families and the Australian Federal Police.

The CAT conducts investigations into allegations of harm caused to children through physical assault, sexual assault and criminal neglect in the Northern Territory.

CAT members provide an invaluable service to our community as they strive to prevent child abuse through raising public awareness of child abuse issues and undertaking remote community engagement operations.

CAT members travel by four wheel drive and light aircraft to remote communities throughout the Northern Territory to help protect children and promote the message that…

"Child Abuse is everybody's business"
