Help us protect children – Report Child Abuse!

If you believe a child is being, or has been, abused or neglected then you are required by law to report your concerns. Your report can protect a child and get help for a family – it may even save a child’s life.

Reporting and seeking help

In an emergency, call ‘000’ (Triple Zero) and ask for assistance - Police / Fire / Ambulance.

For police assistance call 131 444 (24 hours) or contact your local police station.

You can also report suspected child abuse and neglect to:

  • the Child Abuse Hotline on 1800 700 250 (24 hours and toll free); or
  • Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
