The team of 9 women who all work for different departments of Voyages Resorts thoroughly enjoyed their evening from all reports.

The evening started with the winners being picked up in YUL82 and YUL97 from the Outback Pioneer Hotel and given a tour around the township in the Firetrucks.

On arrival at the Fire Station the ladies were greeted with a glass of champagne and walked to the sand dune behind the Fire Station where they enjoyed the sunset with views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

We then returned to the Engine Bay where entrees of seared scallop with avocado mousse, salsa verde and mixed herb salad were served.

After entrees the table was given a guided tour of the Yulara Fire Station.

Mains were then brought out of crispy pork belly with ginger chilli caramel and an apple and peanut salad.

As the mains settled the ladies had the opportunity to don Firefighters kit and spray some water around to water the front of the station.

The Dessert was New York cheese cake with homemade banana ice cream before the ladies were taken back to their homes in the Firetrucks again.

I think you can tell from the photos attached to this email that the winning team #Quiz On My Face had a great night and have been boasting about it around Yulara this past fortnight!

All meals were made by the Firies and all ingredients were sourced from the local IGA Supermarket and from the vegetable garden of LFF Quan.

As a follow up to the evening, one of the guests had mentioned that her smoke detector was beeping for a change of battery. On Tuesday the 10th of November as part of a BA Training Walk, 6 Breathing Apparatus clad Firefighters arrived at her unit and changed her smoke detector battery for her!

Of the 100 Calendars that were given to the Yulara Newsagency there are only 68 left.

LFF Quan and his crew will be setting up a stall at the Yulara Night Markets on the 20th of December to sell any remaining calendars before Christmas.

The final calendar sales will push the total amount of money raised from Yulara to around $9000, easily exceeding our goal of $5000!
