The NT Police Traffic Command are looking for suggestions from the Territory community for their personalised number plates.

30 personalised number plates have been kindly donated by the Motor Vehicle Registry, Department of Lands and Planning to raise awareness of road safety messages.

Two suggestions have been put forward already, SPDKILS, DUI05 but more are required for a combination of cars, vans and motorbikes.

Suggestions must be no more than 7 digits (5 digits for motorbikes) and can be a combination of letters and numbers. Winning suggestions must also be currently available and approved by the Motor Vehicle Registry.

If you have a suggestion, email it through to media.pfes@nt.gov.au along with your name and postal address (addresses within the NT only please).

All those who submit a winning selection will receive an NT Police Officer computer memory stick in the post. Feel free to suggest as many road safety message plates as you can think of.

Submissions are required to be in the email inbox by 12 noon, Friday 12 August.

Selection, availability checking and MVR approval will be conducted in the week commencing Monday 15 August.

Territorians who submit the winning number plates will be notified by reply email and it will be announced on 'Northern Territory Police Force' Facebook.

If you have any further questions or queries about the competition, email us at media.pfes@nt.gov.au.
