Arrest - Property theft - Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 42-year-old male in relation to the theft of property to the value of approximately $135,000.

Officers from Strike Force Trident arrested the male this morning after executing a search warrant at his residence in Virginia.

It is alleged that between November 2016 and December 2018, the male stole items including ride-on mowers, all-terrain vehicles and a tractor from four commercial premises in Darwin.

Detective Senior Sergeant Robert Jordan said this arrest and recovery of the stolen property is the result of excellent investigative work from members within Strike Force Trident.

He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
