On the same day between 8am and 6pm, a home in Larapinta was also unlawfully entered, with a box of coins containing approximately $6000 reported stolen.

Police would like anyone who may have information relating to these two thefts to come forward, particularly if they have seen a box described as a Marble Hill 10 litre Spring Water box that may have been taken from the Larapinta home.

Retailers are also asked to be on the lookout for and report anyone paying for items with large quantities of gold coins.
