Monday 05-Mar-2018 09:02

Northern Territory Police are investigating a series of property offences that occurred overnight in Leanyer, Rosebery and Coolalinga.

At approximately 2:30am today, a stolen silver Honda CR-V was pursued briefly by police after being observed leaving Hibiscus Shopping Centre and heading south on Vanderlin Drive. Police terminated the pursuit shortly after due to the stolen vehicle reaching dangerous speeds. A patrol of the shopping centre revealed a newsagency had been unlawfully entered.

Around 3:30am, an automotive business at Coolalinga had intruder alarms activated, with an unlawful entry confirmed upon police attendance.

Shortly after at approximately 4am, intruder alarms were activated at a service station at the intersection of Forrest Parade and Belyuen Road, Rosebery. On arrival, it was confirmed that an unlawful entry had taken place with a witness disturbing the alleged offenders who were seen leaving in a white contractor’s-style van with the letters “UHP” on the side in gold.

Police have since recovered the stolen CR-V, however the white van and the alleged offenders remain outstanding. Witness observations of the alleged offenders in the white van described them as a group of six to seven male youths and one female youth.

It is believed the alleged offenders unlawfully entered the service station and automotive business by smashing the front glass door.

Police believe the offences are linked.

Anyone with information is urged to notify police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 to assist police with their enquiries.
