Two Men Charged – Drugs Seized – Darwin

Members from Taskforce Nemesis have charged two males with drug offences following a search warrant at a Lyons residence yesterday.

“Acting on information involving the supply of illicit substances around Darwin, a search warrant was conducted at the residence just after 12:00pm,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer from the Organised Crime Division.

Police seized a variety of drugs including:

  • 25.5 grams of MDMA – commercial quantity
  • 3 grams of LSD – commercial quantity
  • 5.9 grams of Ketamine – (59 x commercial quantity)
  • 4.69 grams of Cocaine
  • 1.3 grams of methamphetamine
  • 2.72 grams Psilocybin – (27 x traffickable quantity)
  • 2 grams Dimethyltryptamine (DMT)
  • 10 x Xanax tablets
  • A quantity of steroids.


More than $15,000 in cash was also seized.


A 27-year-old was charged with:

  • Supply schedule one drug - commercial quantity (x3)
  • Supply schedule two drug - traffickable quantity (x3)
  • Possess schedule two drug
  • Unlawfully possess schedule eight poison
  • Deal with the proceeds of crime.


A 26-year-old was charged with:

  • Possess a commercial quantity of a schedule one drug
  • Possess a schedule two drug.


Both will appear in Darwin Local Court today.

“Joint Organised Crime Task Force Nemesis provides a multi-agency approach to combating cross border trafficking in illicit drugs, said Detective Senior Sergeant Stringer.


“We will continue to target the greedy and selfish criminals involved in this insidious business.”
