Friday 04-Sep-2015 08:07

NT Police will be supporting at the Central Australia Football League (CAFL) Finals at Traeger Park this weekend.

Acting Senior Sergeant Daniel Bell said we expect people to come into town to enjoy the football and the great town of Alice Springs, be safe and act responsibly.

“NT Police continue to work in partnership with CAFL and will be actively supporting the ‘No More’ campaign during the 2015 CAFL grand final period.

“The ‘No More’ program is a campaign against domestic and family violence and provides the NT Police with another excellent opportunity to work in partnership with key local community stakeholders.

“It highlights the importance of this issue, the benefits of sporting organisations such as CAFL and the Ti Tree Roosters being courageous and taking a stand against domestic violence.

“It adds further value to the NT Police involvement in the White Ribbon project, also targeting violence against women.

“Domestic and family violence is completely unacceptable to our community and the involvement of an agency such as the CAFL in assisting us to create a safe and resilient Northern Territory is greatly appreciated by Police http://www.nomore.org.au/.”

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic or family violence call Police on 131 444 or in an emergency 000.
